Where Art Meets Global Ambition: IndiTemptation Brings Indian Handcrafted Decor to the World

New Delhi [India], November 21: Indian craftsmanship is finding a global stage through IndiTemptation, a contemporary handcrafted décor platform that aims to make India’s rich artisanal heritage accessible to homes and workspaces worldwide. Founded by Parna Banerjee Bhaduri, the company is redefining how Indian handmade products are positioned in the global market.

The idea for IndiTemptation traces back to Bhaduri’s formative years in Shantiniketan, where she watched Dokra artisans meticulously craft metal figurines over open flames. That early exposure to the precision, skill, and storytelling embedded in Indian craft became the foundation for her entrepreneurial vision: to bridge Indian artisans with a global audience seeking authentic, sustainable, and meaningful décor.

A Strategic Vision for Indian Craft

IndiTemptation is not a revivalist or philanthropic initiative. It is a for-profit digital marketplace with a clear business mandate: source high-quality artisanal décor from across India and offer it globally at competitive prices.

“India has immense talent, but what’s missing is visibility and direct access,” says Bhaduri. “The world is ready for Indian décor; our goal is to build that bridge.”

The timing is strategic. The global décor sector, valued at over USD 700 billion, is increasingly favoring handmade, culturally distinctive, and sustainable products. Yet, despite India’s 7 million-strong artisan workforce, the country’s contribution to the global handcrafted décor market remains minimal—a gap IndiTemptation seeks to address.

    Handcrafted Beauty at Market-Realistic Prices

IndiTemptation’s business model differentiates itself through competitive pricing. While many luxury-focused platforms mark up artisanal products by 200–300%, IndiTemptation emphasizes volume and accessibility. “Handcrafted beauty should be accessible, not artificially inflated,” notes Bhaduri.

The platform sources directly from artisan clusters across India, curating a diverse yet cohesive catalogue, including:

    • Dokra from West Bengal and Chhattisgarh
    • Madhubani paintings from Bihar
    • Chhau masks from Purulia
    • Bamboo crafts from Northeast India
    • Terracotta and tribal art forms

These offerings are designed to align with global interior trends—ranging from Scandinavian minimalism to Mediterranean organic aesthetics—while preserving India’s cultural depth.

A Model Built on Fairness and Efficiency

IndiTemptation works directly with artisan communities to ensure fair compensation, steady orders, design collaboration, and efficient logistics. By eliminating intermediaries, the platform ensures artisans benefit from real market demand rather than grants or donations.

“Our approach respects heritage without romanticizing it,” says Bhaduri. “We leverage craft without exploiting it, and we build profit without unjust markups.”

    Global Trends Favor Indian Craft

Several global shifts have accelerated demand for Indian handcrafted décor:

    1. Cultural Minimalism: Modern interiors increasingly seek warmth, texture, and character.
    2. Sustainability: Consumers prefer low-impact, handmade décor over mass-produced alternatives.
    3. Authenticity: Machine-made products cannot replicate the stories embedded in handmade creations.
    4. Home and Workspace Investments: Remote work and hybrid setups have increased consumer interest in meaningful, aesthetically pleasing interiors.

    Blending Cultural Sensitivity with Enterprise

Bhaduri combines deep craft knowledge with sharp business acumen, ensuring that IndiTemptation positions itself as a premium-yet-affordable cultural décor brand. Its clientele spans home décor enthusiasts, interior designers, NRIs, boutique hotels, corporate buyers, and international décor stores.

“Handcrafted décor is not just about nostalgia,” she explains. “It’s about owning something with soul, touched by human hands, something that makes a space feel alive.”

Exporting an Emotion, Not Just Products

IndiTemptation aims to present India not merely as a supplier of craft, but as a curator of cultural luxury. Through the platform, art travels, stories migrate, heritage adapts, and beauty communicates across borders.

In doing so, IndiTemptation is helping Indian artisans achieve global recognition while offering consumers worldwide a unique, meaningful, and sustainable décor experience. They offer delivery across India within 7-8 days.

  • ChargeZone® Announces Project E-DHARA, Pioneering India’s Renewable-Powered EV Charging Infrastructure

ChargeZone® Announces Project E-DHARA, Pioneering India’s Renewable-Powered EV Charging Infrastructure

New Delhi [India], November 21: ChargeZone®, India’s largest EV charging company with over 13,500 charging points, today announced the launch of Project E-DHARA (Electrifying and Decarbonising Highways through Accelerated Renewable Adoption), a transformative initiative designed to transition its nationwide electric vehicle charging network to 100 per cent renewable energy. The project is being launched in 2025, beginning with the commissioning of the first renewable-powered charging hub in Dahej, Gujarat. This initiative marks a major milestone in ChargeZone’s mission to decarbonise India’s mobility infrastructure and create a sustainable highway ecosystem powered entirely by clean energy.

The project has been conceived to address one of the most critical challenges in the electric mobility sector: reliance on fossil-fuel-based electricity. Despite the rapid adoption of EVs, nearly 75 per cent of India’s current power generation still comes from coal and other conventional sources, which limits the environmental benefits of electric transportation. Project E-DHARA directly tackles this challenge by integrating solar power generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and next-generation high-speed charging hubs to ensure that both the vehicles and the energy used to power them are fully sustainable.

The first charging site under Project E-DHARA is being developed in Dahej, where ChargeZone will deploy a 1 megawatt (MW) solar plant coupled with a five 05 megawatt-hour (MWh) battery energy storage system. This hub has been designed to operate primarily off-grid, drawing from the conventional power grid only when necessary to maintain optimal energy security. The facility will serve as the operational prototype for a national rollout plan that aims to establish 100 renewable charging hubs along key national highways by next year.

Explaining the significance of this initiative, Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of ChargeZone, said, Project E-DHARA represents a pivotal moment in India’s clean energy journey. Electric vehicles have already transformed mobility by eliminating tailpipe emissions, but true decarbonization can only be achieved when the energy that powers them is entirely renewable. Through this initiative, ChargeZone is creating an integrated ecosystem that brings together solar generation, advanced battery storage and high-speed charging infrastructure to enable a 100 per cent clean-energy highway network. This is more than a technological shift; it is a national energy transition positioning India at the forefront of sustainable mobility. We remain committed to building infrastructure that is future-ready, resilient and aligned with the country’s long-term net-zero vision.

This initiative brings together solar power generation, battery energy storage and high-speed charging infrastructure into one unified renewable ecosystem that supports both passenger electric vehicles and BillionE Mobility electric freight trucks. By operationalising 100 renewable-powered charging hubs by next year, most of which will run entirely off grid, ChargeZone is setting a new benchmark for sustainable highway infrastructure while reinforcing its commitment to building a fully decarbonised EV ecosystem across India.

Hyundai Motor India Limited and Times Network Lead National Dialogue on Technology and Accessibility at Samarth India Conclave and Expo 2025

    • Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju, Gajendra S. Shekhawat, and Actor Anupam Kher Highlight the Significance of Inclusivity and Equal Opportunity in a Rising India

New Delhi [India], November 21: Samarth India Conclave and Expo 2025 was organised in the national capital by Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) in partnership with Times Network, India’s premium broadcast network from the Times Group. Under the aegis of ‘Samarth by Hyundai’, an initiative dedicated to recognising the potential and celebrating the strength of Persons with Disabilities (PwD), the Conclave and Expo raised awareness on the importance of an inclusive society—one that focuses on driving social transformation by converging technology, innovation, and collaboration through storytelling.

The Conclave brought together Union Ministers, policymakers, technologists, innovators, advocates, and experts to discuss the crucial role of Assistive Technology and Accessible Infrastructure in enabling Persons with Disabilities to achieve their full potential. To further accelerate the endeavour, the Samarth Accessibility Metric (SAM), a benchmark of accessibility for built environments and spaces, was launched at the Conclave. Conceptualised by Times Network and developed by Samarthyam Centre for Universal Accessibility, SAM provides a structural framework to self-evaluate public and private mobility infrastructure. Poised to become a national guideline for stakeholders towards measurable, accountable, and inclusive design practices, SAM is India’s first accessibility rating system to enable unhindered access for every member of society.

Complementing the thought-leadership deliberations, startups and innovators at the Expo showcased adaptive mobility devices, AI-enabled navigation tools, and accessible digital solutions designed to enhance the quality of life for Persons with Disabilities. Curated by the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP) as the knowledge partner, organisations such as ALIMCO, the National Association for the Blind, and XL Cinemas, amongst others, presented technologies tailored to diverse disability needs.

Shri Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, emphasised, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India has taken significant steps since 2014 to strengthen dignity, accessibility, and equal opportunity for Persons with Disabilities. The introduction of ‘Divyang’ as a concept has played a pivotal role in shifting societal attitudes, reducing stigma, and building confidence among the community. Our focus is to move towards a truly disability-neutral nation—one where every individual is treated with equal respect and has equal access to opportunities.”

He further added, “In sports, we have ensured full parity between Olympic and Paralympic athletes, enhanced accessibility across new stadiums and facilities, and celebrated our Paralympians with the highest national honours. Assistive technologies such as those showcased at the Samarth India Conclave will be instrumental in advancing this vision and enabling a more inclusive future for all.”

Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, said, “India cannot call itself fully inclusive but we are on a transformative path. Inclusive tourism is not a niche concept—it is a national imperative. We are transforming India’s tourism ecosystem using AI-driven travel guidance, screen-reader-friendly platforms, intuitive layouts, simplified travel information, and voice-assisted navigation. Digital accessibility will define physical accessibility. We are pushing for tactile exhibits, sign-language tours, audio-described heritage walks, sensory-inclusive events, and accessible museum infrastructure, amongst others.”

He reaffirmed, “India is not catching up with global accessibility standards; India is setting them. Accessibility is now embedded across airports, museums, heritage sites, digital platforms, smart cities, and the Swadesh Darshan project. As India moves towards Viksit Bharat 2047, development must include accessible infrastructure, education, mobility, culture, tourism, and above all, an accessible mindset.”

Mr Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “At Hyundai, we see mobility as more than movement—it is momentum for change. It is the strength to empower communities we serve and create a brighter future for all. ‘Samarth by Hyundai’ represents a steadfast commitment to building a world where technology and humanity progress together. With the launch of the Samarth India Conclave & Expo, I am confident we can make accessibility universal and instinctive for every individual, everywhere.”

Mr Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Limited, expressed, “Samarth by Hyundai reflects our belief that accessibility is not an option; it is a fundamental right. With the first-ever Samarth India Conclave and Expo, we are proud to bring together India’s most influential changemakers to accelerate inclusive progress. Through the Samarth Accessibility Matrix and support to assistive technology startups, we aim to empower transformative solutions for people with disabilities. Hyundai will continue championing initiatives that deliver real, measurable change and enable equal opportunity for all.”

Times Network stated, “As India’s legendary media conglomerate, The Times Group has been a torchbearer for every major development of the nation. Our news powerhouse, Times Network, has been at the forefront and a catalyst for innumerable platforms and initiatives over the past decades. The opportunity to add value to this noble initiative by Hyundai, magnify its scale, and enhance the impact on the lives of Persons with Disabilities was therefore an extension of our own vision and philosophy. We are inspired by what this initiative can achieve.”

In its second year, Samarth by Hyundai spreads a simple yet powerful message: When capability is empowered, dreams are achieved. With this promise, the initiative has supported 26 para-athletes, conducted a bilateral Blind Cricket tournament, constructed ramps at public locations, instituted the Samarth think tank, featured stories of Catalysts for Change, spread awareness among 75,000 students, inspired #PledgeForInclusivity—a collective vow to make accessibility a shared responsibility—and launched a host of forthcoming activities in this endeavour to make every Indian truly Samarth.
